GKN is developing filters for extreme conditions

Reproducible tests of filter media under extreme conditions

Recently filter media have been re- producibly tested at GKN Sinter Metals Engineering in Radevormwald under extreme conditions, e.g. tmax= 250 °C and varying relative air humidities. To make this possible, the GKN concern‘s Technology Centre for Powder Metal-

lurgy has equipped itself with a Palas® MMTC 2000 EHF filter test rig. It en- ables filter media to be tested up to a temperature of 250 °C. The company wants to use it to develop new filters and compare existing filters with prod- ucts from market competitors.
